The Venue

Through an archway set into a grand façade, The Black Bottom Club’s discrete doorway is concealed in the corner of a courtyard in Northampton’s town centre. 

An institution to those quietly in the know, it has played host to the town’s party set for years, unwaveringly delivering the best nights out in a stylish and secure environment.

The club consists of four distinctive and unique bar areas:

The Black Bottom Bar

The Black Bottom Bar, the original part of the Club, and which continues to host bands and artists of national and international repute as well as favourites on the local live music circuit.

With its colourful history and rich heritage, the versatile Black Bottom Bar stages magnificent parties yet also transforms into a relaxing chill out zone.

Auntie Ruth’s Bar

Auntie Ruth’s Bar – the heart of the venue, with its comfortable leather sofas and intimate booths, Ruth’s provides the mood of a modern-day speakeasy. It is the melting pot where members and guests start their evenings and mingle before moving on to the open air Roof Terrace, live music offerings of the BBC or DJ-led environment of The Basement.

The Basement Bar

Descend into the depths of the club to find yourself in The Basement Bar. Despite its size, the Basement retains a very private feel due to its low ceilings. It boasts resident DJ’s and the occasional high-profile guest and rocks through to the small hours every weekend, delivering unbridled high octane revelry to Northampton’s party cavalry.
